Indulgent treatments within 15 miles of Oxford’s dreamy spires.
Within striking distance of this beautiful, world-famous university city, The Oxford Belfry Spa offers a Master’s degree in the art of sublime relaxation and is surrounded by 17 acres of beautiful countryside.
The spa incorporates a health club, seven treatment rooms, an indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room and a dedicated spa lounge – the food’s not bad, either. You can also pump iron in the gym if you want to (yeah, right.) Cool touches include heated loungers and an “experience shower and ice fountain” – we’re not sure what that is, but it sounds very fancy.
The Oxford Belfry Spa offers a good range of day spa packages, including one with afternoon tea and a “pit stop” programme for the lads, and all including full use of the leisure facilities.
The treatments are perhaps slightly on the limited side, but you can enjoy a Swedish massage revitalising ESPA facial and a luxury manicure or pedicure, all complete with the usual obligatory fluffy robe and slippers. There’s also one double treatment if you fancy being pampered while chatting to someone else.
Cancellation charges can be hefty – 50% of the fee is payable if you cancel anything with two days’ notice, or the full whack for any cancellations made with 24 hours or less to go. Just make sure if you are going to cancel, you do it early (we don’t know why anyone would decide not to have a day of pampering though?).
